FAU SIP Liability Self-Insurance
The Florida Atlantic University College of Medicine Self-Insurance Program provides comprehensive general and professional liability protection for the FAU Board of Trustees (FAUBOT) in support of the Self-Insurance Program Participants, and their employees, agents and students.
All participating faculty members, housestaff, other employees and students of participating entities are provided personal protection for general and professional liability claims that arise from their official functions. This protection is provided by either ยง768.28(9) F.S., (Limited Waiver of Sovereign Immunity) or by the Florida Board of Governors Self-Insurance Programs.
