UF SIP Liability Self-Insurance
The University of Florida J. Hillis Miller Health Center Self-Insurance Program provides comprehensive general and professional liability protection for the UF Board of Trustees (UFBOT) in support of the colleges of the Health Science Center (HSC) at both the Gainesville and Jacksonville campuses and their employees, agents and students.
All participating faculty members, housestaff, other employees and students of participating entities are provided personal protection for general and professional liability claims that arise from their official functions. This protection is provided by either ยง768.28(9) F.S., (Limited Waiver of Sovereign Immunity) or by the Florida Board of Governors Self-Insurance Programs.
