May 22, 2016, Tallahassee Democrat FSU College of Medicine student Elizabeth Coughlin was among the 119 members of the Class of 2016 to graduate at Ruby Diamond Concert Hall on Saturday. Big surprise for her: It was announced that she was the medical school’s 1,000th graduate. Here she’s being hooded by Joda Lynn, M.D., Class of 2005, who in 2000 was the first student admitted to the med school. On the left is Christie Alexander, M.D., also Class of 2005, who’s now a fulltime faculty member at the College of Medicine.
